11 So I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days.
12 And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem: neither was there any beast with me, save the beast that I rode upon.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
11 Three days does not seem to be a whole lot of time but He would have been gone months and to make this trip and he only needed to see what it would need to build and how long it would take. We see thru scripture that a lot can happen within three days.
12 He inspected it at night so people would not know what he was doing until the king became fully behind it this was wise so that they would not make the repairs greater by destroying it even more.
