If you do not KNOW Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior, OR you have need to re-commit, please read the following scriptures below, preferably out loud. Why? Because the faith required to believe will come. How? Through hearing. How does one gain True hearing? Through the Word of God.
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
God provided all that we need for salvation (reconciliation to God) through Jesus Christ our Lord. This was & is a full & total work; He does nothing half-way. How did we become separated from God in the first place? Through sin. Through the subtle deception/craftiness of that old serpent Satan, Adam & Eve were eternally displaced. We cannot imagine the sorrow & travail they must have experienced afterward. Their disobedience cost all of humanity. Satan had gained legal domain over all. Who could spoil the strong man's house & restore that which was lost, save God Himself?
Rom 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Psa 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (Jesus is the Living Word.)
What did Jesus come to say, this Word made flesh?
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Jesus took our places on the cross of crucifixion, fulfilling the legal requirement that God's law demanded of US. By doing so, the penalty of written ordinances against US, was eternally satisfied. He became the final sacrifice for sin, period.
Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Lev 6:25 Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the sin offering be killed before the LORD: it is most holy.
Lev 7:7 As the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith shall have it.
11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Colossians 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
We can never be good enough in our own strength, to earn a place of right standing (salvation/reconciliation) with God. Our performance will never suffice to equal that which God our Creator Himself, offers through His Son.
Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
The amazing & wonderful Truth, is that Jesus willingly took what He didn't deserve & gave us what we don't deserve. God didn't ask for apologies before making provision of restitution on our behalf through His only begotten, Holy Beloved Son.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Rom 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
1Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Through the Word of God, we are enabled to see our need for a Savior. The Living Word, written & recorded by the Holy Spirit, is the same Eternal Spirit whereby Christ Jesus was conceived, affirmed, anointed, filled, empowered & offered for US. It is He, by the Word, that convinces us of our condition. Not only this, but He justifies & glorifies the children of adoption.
John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Again, the Holy Spirit of the Living God, being Eternal & One with God as is Jesus, is the same Spirit that moved upon the face of the waters in the beginning. It was always to be, that Jesus would come to our rescue.
Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
If you are convinced/convicted, now believing by the hearing of God's Word of Truth, that Jesus died that you might have abundant eternal Life, it's time to surrender. Grace is offered, God is waiting. A simple prayer follows these scriptures.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Father God, I now acknowlege & confess that I am a sinner. I ask Your forgiveness-confess any sins the Holy Spirit may bring to mind. I need You Jesus. I believe that You died on the cross for me & that God raised you from the dead. I ask you to save me; I surrender all that I am to you. I invite You to be Lord & Savior of my life. Thank You Jesus, for saving me. Amen. (Take time to continue in prayer & thanksgiving. You're a brand new creature!)
If you've prayed this prayer of repentance unto salvation, please do share with us, that we may rejoice with you! It is recommended that you begin daily study/reading of the Bible. Your next step should be to look for a gathering that preaches/teaches the Word. Water baptism should follow as soon as would be possible as well.
