Matthew 24:29-31 King James Version (KJV)
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
29 This is the end; this is not done during Christ’s reign but before. Christ will come and judge, the earth itself will show that Christ comes as the sky is changed no stars sun or moon, no light at all. The world being made dark shows where it is in the darkness of sin and makes things ready for Christ coming; He is of light, righteousness.
30 Jesus will be in heaven coming down, this will be a sight like nothing else, it won’t be as if someone falling from the sky but be Him coming down, it will be clear to all that see that this is different that He is different a fear may come on them as they realize what they had done they rejected Him who is now returning.
31 They way this shows is that as He comes He gather the believers in the air with Him, this could be used to teach post trib rapture. We as Christians will meet Him in the air to witness to finally defeat of Satan and sin and the evils of the world.
