24:15-18King James Version (KJV)
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
Matthew 24:15-18Jubilee Bible 2000 (JUB)

17 let him who is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house,

15 At the time of Christ the were three sections of the bible the Law the Prophets and the Writings they were viewed as importance Law first and Prophets second and last the Writings, Daniel was a part of the Writings so this may have been one of the first references to Daniel being a prophet. Many refer to Daniel’s prophecy to have been fulfilled when the Greeks sacrificed a pig in the temple but Jesus mentions it which means that may have included what is to come, when false worship is placed in the temple.
16 They should flee because they will be soon after being killed.
17 When we come to Jesus we should leave our old habits behind and no go down and get them.
18 Coats were worn when they were not working so it says that they might as well keep working it shows in these verses that when the time comes it will be fast.
