Matthew 24:3-5King James Version (KJV)
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Matthew 24:3-5Amplified Bible (AMP)
3 While He was seated on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately and said, Tell us, when will this take place, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end (the completion, the consummation) of the age?
4 Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error].
5 For many will come in (on the strength of) My name [appropriating the name which belongs to Me], saying, I am the Christ (the Messiah), and they will lead many astray.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
3 The Mount of Olives is a place they often gathered and if the sermon on the mount happened at one place it is likely it was here. The disciples often came to Him and asked Him what others would not because they were a part of His inner circle them ones He chose. When a question we all have asked God, whether referring to Christ’s return or to something we want. They were asking about the end of times. Many people still question when the end is. If Jesus is with us we have nothing to worry about referring to the end.
4 We are to watch the signs an not fall for anyone who claims they know the time because they do not know. There have been many trying to claim they knew when the world would end and they time went by and so did they, we do not need to know when it is but keep serving Him as long as we can.
5 There have been many who claimed to follow Christ but had there own teachings instead of Christ’s word. They preached what they desired not what God desired of them,
