Matthew 23:25-26Expanded Bible (EXB)
25 “·How terrible for [L Woe to] you, ·teachers of the law [scribes] and Pharisees! You are hypocrites! You ·wash [clean] the outside of your cups and dishes [ for ceremonial purity], but inside they are full of ·things you got by cheating others and by pleasing only yourselves [greed/robbery and self-indulgence]. 26 Pharisees, you are blind! First make the inside of the cup clean, and then the outside ·can be truly [or will also be] clean.

Matthew 23:25-26King James Version (KJV)
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean
These are my thoughts, please share yours.
25 Following something other than God always leads to the horrible. We have a chance to avoid the horrible and find grace by Christ. The Pharisees were consider experts but they were blind to the truth so, what were they experts in if they rejected the truths of God’s word by rejecting Jesus, they were experts in man’s teaching, in the ways of self promotion. The Pharisees were concerned only of how they appeared, they were not concerned with what they though or how they felt on the inside because could see this, this was more important to God because it was the heart, the Pharisees put on a show.
26 We as Christians should allow God to change our desires inside our hearts and it will take care of the sins on the outside because without greed we would not want to steal, without hate there would be no murder.
