Below, is an outline of sorts for us to follow in the upward construction of this Word study. It is intended to reveal the interconnectedness of His Word as it confirms itself, specifically concerning how the words, or The Word we speak (conversation) affects and determines spiritual growth and how it directly correlates with the heart. As we walk together following the lead of His Holy Spirit, we will learn in simplicity, how to practically apply The Word of God to our daily lives; Consequently, being further transformed as our minds are renewed in/by Truth.
Self examination will be thoroughly exercised as The Word requires, as we advance. Prayerfully, we'll gain the skill necessary to rightly divide the Word and our senses will become seasoned in discerning Truth from error. We begin in part 1, with the heart. I put this together in the way that He instructed, as to leave MUCH room for Him to add to it, through others. Please build/increase, relaying your thoughts or understanding with us on a particular portion, including scriptures He brings to mind. (This could well be termed a 'treasure hunt'!)
You're encouraged to add to this study privately during your personal study time as well. To start, we have 1 foundational scripture, directly connected with our goal, followed by 3 corresponding scriptures to be literally applied in our daily prayers. Ask yourselves before God; Afterward listening for His answer, "What is my former conversation? Does any part of it remain alive and active within me? What is at the 'heart' or root of it? What is the solution; How do I silence/end it?"
He may 'speak' directly through His written Word, by thought, or through outward situations that you may observe. He is beyond amazing, faithFULL and unlimited/unrivaled in capability/capacity to meet our needs! I truly hope, that this fellowship in His Word, will produce healing/deliverance and testimony to glorify God; He is so worthy! Line upon line, precept upon precept; Here a little, there a little-Let's go!
Goal: Exodus of/from our former conversation as a result of:
1. Gleaning revelatory understanding concerning the confirming connectivity of The Written Word as a living entity.
2. Attaining in depth understanding of the model/standard founded in/by Jesus, that produces conformation to His image; More specifically as 'living epistles'.
3. Recognition of the True and sustaining power and propagation of our manner/content of speech & it's origins.
Ephesians 4:22-24 KJV
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

1. Jeremiah 17:9-10 KJV
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
