1 Chronicles 26:29-32 King James Version (KJV)
29 Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.
30 And of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour, a thousand and seven hundred, were officers among them of Israel on this side Jordan westward in all the business of the LORD, and in the service of the king.
31 Among the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even among the Hebronites, according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.
32 And his brethren, men of valour, were two thousand and seven hundred chief fathers, whom king David made rulers over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, for every matter pertaining to God, and affairs of the king.

29 Kenaniah was from the Izhar •family [clan]. He and his sons worked outside the •Temple [L house] as officers and judges in Israel.

There were seventeen hundred •skilled [capable; respected] men in Hashabiah’s group. 31 The •history [genealogy] of the Hebron •family [clan] shows that Jeriah was their •leader [chief]. In David’s fortieth year •as king [of reign], the •records [genealogies]were searched, and some •capable [skilled; respected] men of the Hebron •family [clan] were found living at Jazer in Gilead. 32 Jeriah had twenty-seven hundred relatives who were •capable [skilled; respected]men and leaders of families. 29 This would have been for the service of the Lord that needed to be done outside the temple. God’s work was never meant to be done in just one place.
30 These priests were set up to help the king and would have been the king’s family. It is good for leadership to always seek God to lead and these priests here were for that purpose.
31 They were capable, we all have capabilities given to us by God but do we use them for His glory or do we reject them and neglect serving Him?
32 We have a responsibility as Christians and it is to share the gospel and teach the word all believers are called to do this work and/ or help with this work.
