1 Chronicles 24:18-19 King James Version (KJV)
18 The three and twentieth to Delaiah, the four and twentieth to Maaziah.
19 These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of the LORD, according to their manner, under Aaron their father, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him.

18 The twenty-third was Delaiah. The twenty-fourth was Maaziah.
19 These were •the groups chosen to serve [or their appointed duties; L the order of their serving] in the •Temple [L house] of the LORD. They obeyed the •rules [procedures; regulations]given them by Aaron, just as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded him.

18 Again two last people who were to serve in the priesthood.
19 They were chosen by lot which showed that the Lord picked them; the king wasn’t to choose the priests because they weren’t to serve the king but simply serve God. While good kings would have had a good relationship with the priests, it would be a problem when the priests would start to serve the king; this happened a lot in Jesus time.
