Hi, I was wondering whether the two expressions to pay heed to and to take heed of mean exactly the same thing or whether there is a slight difference as far as the meaning is concerned.
My dictionary claims they're synonyms, but then I found some example sentences where one expresion was used only... (Pay heed to what you say and to take heed of a warning)
So, are they the same or not?
Please help.
Thanks!
