Scammer Warning in Tourist Office - take heed!

Hi,
       I was caught unprepared by a scam in Berlin and reported it in that forum to help forewarn fellow travellers.



A few days ago, I returned to Frankfurt and was glad to see that the Hauptbahnhof Tourist Info Office has a warning on similar scams. I wished I saw this warning before going to Berlin.



Today, I had another encounter but with a different outcome this time. I took a stroll along River Main and decided to go through the road labelled Pfarrturm towards the Kaiserdom.



My precise path inadvertently let me appeared suddenly from one side of a column and came face to face with a guy (well-built, around 5 and half feet, non white, not black, not oriental).



He was looking at me, turned round quickly and walked ahead of me. After a few steps, he turned around again, called out "moment! moment!" and nearly grabbed me by the arm?


Please help.
