Deuteronomy 4:16

KJV 16 Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

CAB 16 lest you transgress, and make to yourselves a carved image, any kind of figure, the likeness of male or female,

These are my thoughts.

We should not make ourselves idols.

These are my thoughts.

We aren’t to worship the creation but the Lord who created it all.

This world has always wanted to turn to itself and worship itself but we should only worship the Lord.

CAB 19 and lest having looked up to the sky, and having seen the sun and the moon and the stars, and all the heavenly bodies, you should go astray and worship them, and serve them, which the Lord your God has distributed to all the nations under heaven.

These are my thoughts.
We should only worship the Lord nothing else should be worshiped or is even wotthy of worship because He alone is worthy.

These are my thoughts.

When God becomes angry with us it means we will miss out on His blessings, we need to repent and receive grace thru Jesus and by Him we will be very blessed.

We don’t want to die without receiving our inheritance.

CAB 23 Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of the Lord our God, which He made with you, and you transgress, and make to yourselves a graven image of any of the things concerning which the Lord your God commanded you.

We need to keep watch over what we are doing so that we don’t put anything in our lives before the Lord.

Instead of training new generation to fall away we should teach them to depend on God.

We as Christians are following the Lord to our inheritance in Him and glory.

These are my thoughts.

This would happen generations later during the exile and some of the tribes would not come back to the Promised Land and it wouldn’t be until modern times that they regained their nation.

No matter what comes us way we should always turn to the Lord and not turn from Him.
