Deuteronomy 4:1

KJV 1 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
CAB 1 And now, O Israel, hear the statutes and judgments, hear all that I teach you this day to do, that you may live, and be multiplied, and that you may go in and inherit the land, which the Lord God of your fathers gives to you.

These are my thoughts.

When we follow the Lord, we are lead to such blessing by dwelling in His presence.

KJV 2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

CAB 2 You shall not add to the word which I command you, and you shall not take from it: keep the commandments of the Lord our God, all that I command you this day.

These are my thoughts.

We should take God’s word as it is written, to many people want to change what He says and say He says something He don’t.

KJV 3 Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you.

CAB 3 Your eyes have seen all that the Lord our God did in Baal Peor; for every man that went after Baal of Peor, the Lord your God has utterly destroyed him from among you.

These are my thought.

We need to trust God to handle our enemies.

We are alive thru Jesus and by Him we truly live.

KJV2 5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, as Jehovah my God has commanded me, to do them, in the midst of the land where you are going in, to possess it,

These are my thoughts.

We should also proclaim God’s word to man so they can come to Him and do as He commands.

CAB 7 For what manner of nation is so great, which has God so near to them as the Lord our God is in all things in whatsoever we may call upon Him?

God is great and we can call out to Him.

KJV2 8 And who is a great nation whose statutes and judgments are as righteous as all this law which I set before you today?

We can only truly be great when the Lord comes first and leads our way.

CAB 10 even the things that happened in the day in which you stood before the Lord our God in Horeb in the day of the assembly; for the Lord said to me, Gather the people to Me, and let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days which they live upon the earth, and they shall teach their sons.

These are my thoughts.

We need to learn to fear and reverence the Lord but also know His love and grace and then share Him with others.

CAB 11 And you drew near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire up to heaven: there was darkness, blackness, and a tempest.

These are my thoughts.

Fire often symbolizes God’s presence, do we follow God’s presence or do stay in the darkness.

God most likely won’t ever speak to us in this way but do we listen to Him, when He speaks to us?

God’s word has been declared its in scripture and we should live by His word in Him.
