1 Chronicles 23:24 King James Version (KJV)
24 These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the LORD, from the age of twenty years and upward.

24 These were Levi’s descendants listed by •their families [clans]. They were the leaders of families. Each person who was twenty years old or older was •listed [counted]. They served in the LORD’s •Temple [L house].

24 The Levites had a very special calling, today we as Christians are all servants and ministers to the Lord although not everyone is called to ministry. Those under 20 weren’t listed in any list. Serving the Lord was their duty and it is our today.
