Matthew 27:24-26 King James Version (KJV)
24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.
25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

24 This was a Jewish custom he was doing, Jesus blood was on there hands is what he was saying but the truth is His blood was on all our hands because He died for all our sin.
25 They accept a curse that would be brought out on them. This does not mean we should mistreat the Jews but maybe one of there reasons so much bad has happened to them.
26 So the criminal was released, Im glad Jesus took our punishment for sin and that we were released from sin like Barabbas was.
