Ezra 6:11-12 King James Version (KJV)
11 Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and being set up, let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this.
12 And the God that hath caused his name to dwell there destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand to alter and to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed.
Ezra 6:11-12 Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
11 `And by me is made a decree, that any one who changeth this thing, let wood be pulled down from his house, and being raised up, let him be smitten on it, and his house let be made a dunghill for this.
12 And God, who caused His name to dwell there, doth cast down any king and people that putteth forth his hand to change, to destroy this house of God that [is] in Jerusalem; I Darius have made a decree; speedily let it be done.'

11 This would make the man’s family homeless and have nothing not only would he be dead but would lose his legacy which at that time was very valued. To God against God’s word had greater results then this.
12 Now he is addressing the people not under his control. He is asking God to take care of the outside influence that he can not control. God wants us to trust Him to overthrow all the things and people that stand in between what He wants from us rather then us take care of it ourselves, but this often times what we do.
