Matthew 26:39-41 King James Version (KJV)
39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Matthew 26:39-41 Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
39 And having gone forward a little, he fell on his face, praying, and saying, `My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as Thou.'
40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them sleeping, and he saith to Peter, `So! ye were not able one hour to watch with me!
41 watch, and pray, that ye may not enter into temptation: the spirit indeed is forward, but the flesh weak.'

39 So Jesus take time to pray during His distress how much more should we take time ourselves to pray, we sin Christ didn’t but yet He prayed, we as sinners have more reason to pray. The cup He maybe referring to is God’s wrath which was poured out on Him on the cross and the sins of the world was bared up there by Him. We should always pray to God but always seek His will not ours. When He tells us His will then we need to take that next step and follow Him.
40 His friends were not there for Him, there is times I believe we are left alone for God to deal with us thru things the disciples could not help Jesus bear the sins of the world, He was on His own with this.
41 Jesus knew that they wanted to stay awake and pray but was unable due to their flesh being tired, sometimes our limits are simply that fact that our bodies wont allow us to do certain things.
