Deut 2 weekly devotion

Deuteronomy 2:16
KJV 16 So it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,
ECB 16 - and so be it, all the men of war were consumed, and died from among the people.

These are my thoughts.
Death happens when there is war, we just have to trust God to seeus thru our own battles.

Deuteronomy 2:18
KJV 18 Thou art to pass over through Ar, the coast of Moab, this day:
ECB 18 This day, pass over through Ar the border of Moab:

These are my thoughts.
When we follow God we will go places.

Deuteronomy 2:20
KJV 20 (That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims;

ECB 20 That also was fabricated a land of Rephaim: wherein the Rephaim settled at their face; and the Ammoniy called them Zamzomiym;

These are my thoughts.
We see God again allowing for those who do not follow Him, showing His mercy.

Deuteronomy 2:22
KJV 22 As he did to the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, when he destroyed the Horims from before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead even unto this day:
ECB 22 as he worked to the sons of Esav who settled in Seir, when he destroyed the Horim from their face; and they succeeded them and settled in their stead, even to this day:

These are my thoughts.
Sometimes we need to be willing to break down man made borders to work together for the Lord’s work.

Deuteronomy 2:24

KJV 24 Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.

These are my thoughts.

The Lord has given us things and some times it requires us to fight a battle but as Christians this battle often times is a spiritual battle.

Deuteronomy 2:26











KJV 26 And I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth unto Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,

We are the Lord’s ambassadors and bring the people the gospel of peace.

Deuteronomy 2:28

KJV 28 Thou shalt sell me meat for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that I may drink: only I will pass through on my feet;
